Bruton BRD 10 - Relax
(Steve Gray, Trevor Bastow, David Lindup, David Gold, Jean Boucety, 1979)

Dope album all the way, samples galore on this smooth jazz funk killer library - and not only because of the awesome 'Beverley Hills' which was sampled by DJ Premier for Gang Starr... So much spacey laid back chilled tunes. What a wonder, that these tunes haven't been caught on the Dusty Fingers series... RECOMMENDED!!!

Bruton BRK 5 - Contemporary Motion
(Trevor Bastow, Brian Bennett, Steve Gray, 1979)

Wow! Trevor Bastow's different 'Motion' versions on the a-side are strictly killer after killer! Action scenes in varying degrees of intensity with minimal instrumentation: fat groovy drums, bass and suspenseful rhodes - Drama funk at its best. The same goes to the tracks of Brian Bennett on the b-side. 'Villain' is a moody uptempo funk cut. 'Trash' is also included on the 'Drama Montage' LPs.

Bruton BRH 5 - Light My Fire
(Alan Hawkshaw, Keith Mansfield, Steve Gray, Francis Monkman, Brian Bennett, 1978)

Without a doubt, this is one of the top Holy Grails of the Bruton library catalogue! The top composers deliver first class killer funk tracks from beginning to end... It is the only Bruton LP that contains the Keith Mansfield smasher 'Blockbuster' as well as Hawkshaws 'Hawkwind and Fire' and 'Wonder Groove'. This unbelievabele funky album includes also Hawkshaws cosmic funk tune  'Fuel Injection'... Listen to the long soundfile!!!

Bruton BRK 03 - Speed Fever
(Keith Mansfield, Irvin Martin, Brian Wade, Frank Ricotti, Les Hurdle, John Cameron, 1978)

No need to explain or introduce much when you see the list of composers on this classic drama library! 'Indianapolis' and 'Making the Action' are in my top 3 list of all Bruton dramatic funk tunes! Killer! Unfortunately the cover has some water damage on the left side of the front and the right side of the back cover... but the vinyl is super clean!
